Chris Edwards FCA - Director
Managing director and experienced general practitioner, Chris, qualified in 1983 setting up his own practice six years later to enable him to provide his own unique style of client care and service. Chris remains as dedicated to the success of the firm’s clients as the day he started.
Chris is a member and past President of Eckington Rotary Club. Away from his professional duties Chris enjoys fly fishing.
Martin Edwards FCA - Director
Martin is a qualified chartered accountant who joined the firm in 2014, becoming a director in July 2015. His role is not just a general practitioner but includes practice management and development of systems for the firm’s clients.
Martin is a former Secretary of Sheffield & District Society of Chartered Accountants and a previous Chair of Sheffield and District Young Chartered Accountants Group. Outside of the office Martin loves spending quality time with his family and following almost any sport.
Ruth Edwards - Director
Ruth is head of payroll and the office administrator. As Chris’ wife, she’s a staunch supporter of the firm and has played an active role in our success since 1994. Ruth enjoys meeting clients and as our head of payroll administers the payroll and pensions submissions.
Ruth loves to travel and see new places but is most happy spending time with her grandchildren.
Stuart Brandreth FCA - Senior Accountant
Chartered accountant, Stuart, has more than 40 years professional experience, joining Chris Edwards in 2004, after running his own firm for 16 years. He enjoys working with clients, particularly on personal tax matters and handles our technical queries.
Away from the office Stuart can be found watching anything competitive and enjoys walking.
Lewis Banton - Client Manager
Our client manager, Lewis, joined the firm in 2000 and has since helped hundreds of clients achieve their financial goals. His role includes general accountancy work, bookkeeping and payroll support.
A former elite level marathon runner Lewis now enjoys spending time with his young family.
Katie Edwards (nee Mycock) ACA, MSc, BA - Accounts Senior
Martin’s wife Katie joined the family practice in 2024. She completed her ACA training at a big 5 Accounting firm in Sheffield (specialising in audit) and subsequently has held industry roles as Financial Accountant, Management Accountant and Finance Manager.
She works part time at the practice and on her none working days she has the privilege of caring for her young daughters who love to play out whatever the weather!
